Cheers & Jeers: Glee's Not-So-Sweet Sugar
Vanessa Lengies Jeers to Glee to make an off-key addition towards the cast.Want more Cheers & Jeers? Her attribution on her insufficient social graces to "self-identified Asperger's" had autism-awareness advocates up in arms. Well, Sugar was in episode 2 - briefly, thankfully - to sing poorly, insult Idina Menzel's Shelby Corcoran ("you've this irritating nasal quality"), then shrug them back: "Sorry, Asperger's."Sorry, Glee: For any reveal that would go to sickeningly saccharine measures to preach tolerance (e.g. this week's "unicorn" subplot with Kurt and Brittany), you've hit an incorrect note. One only hope Sugar's guaranteed third episode is going to be her swan song. With Sue Sylvester's poll amounts - and ego - swelling, the halls of McKinley High aren't large enough to suit another fathead. Are you currently souring on Sugar - and Glee?Sign up for TV Guide Magazine now!
